This social group is for young adults moving into adulthood. Recreational activities are a key component of the program.

Our Young Adult Social Group is right for you if:

  • you have a diagnosis of autism;
  • you have moderate to low support needs;
  • have an interest in socializing with peers
  • are capable of day-to day self-care; and
  • want to take part in group and recreational activities
What is the focus of the Young Adult Social Group?

The focus of our Young Adult Social Group is to:

  • build social networks;
  • build independence;
  • introduce community based recreational activities; and
  • teach group members about how to access those activities

When does this Young Adult Social Group take place?

Two Fridays a month from 5 pm–9 pm.

The cost for our Young Adult Social Group is $110 a month.

What happens next?

Kate Dixon, the Program Manager will arrange a time to meet with you.
If the Young Adult Social Group is a good fit for you, the next step is to pay the registration fee.
You will then get a package of information about the program. The program start date will be included in this information.

There is regular communication between counsellors and parents.

Parent
