Board Of Directors

Woodview is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors selected from the communities of Halton, Hamilton, and Brantford. Their broad range of skills and experience contribute towards effectively governing the organization in a timely, transparent, and accountable manner.

Dwain Burns

Chair

Dwain joined our Board of Directors in 2017. Dwain brings a variety of legal, not-for-profit, and governance experience to our Board, having been a member of the Board of Directors and past chair of the Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club. He participates actively in the community as a youth leader and fundraiser for various organizations. Dwain’s 20+ years of experience as a civil lawyer greatly complement our Board of Directors.  Dwain became our Vice Chair in January 2020.

Sherri Dockree

Vice Chair

Sherri joined our Board of Directors in 2019. Sherri’s experience as a corporate leader and a business owner brings a rounded perspective to leadership and to Woodview’s Board. With a unique set of skills and practical experiences Sherri brings insights to the leadership development of individuals and leaders through understanding, proven models, hands-on experience and targeted training as Founder and professional coach at Mindwave Coaching. Sherri’s combined experience in leadership development, communications and marketing, strategic planning, and previous Board experience is a valued asset to the Board.

Lynn Wilson

Director

Lynn joined our Board of Directors in 2018, having recently retired from a 34-year career at Ernst & Young. Lynn holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, a Masters of Adult Education, and a Certificate in Intercultural Studies. Lynn’s career and personal focus on inclusiveness, learning, teamwork, and employee engagement greatly benefit Woodview’s board and strategic planning initiatives.

Neelam Bhella

Director

Neelam joined our Board of Directors in 2019. Neelam has volunteered in the Halton community with Halton Police Toys for Tots, Sound of Music Festival, the local food bank, as well as in many different roles within her children’s elementary school and school parent council events. Neelam is committed to increasing mental health education and awareness in the community.

Kim Delahunt

Secretary

Kim Delahunt is a successful senior leader with more than 18 years of progressive leadership experience. Kim joined Woodview’s board in 2021, bringing a diverse and widespread background in all areas of healthcare, health system transformation, and an in-depth knowledge of the Ontario health system. Kim has a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Masters in Science degree from McMaster University and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Toronto.  She has also completed the Advanced Health Leadership Program at the Joseph L Rotman School of Management – University of Toronto and is a Certified Health Executive through the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Kim is passionate about developing strong and collaborative stakeholder relationships and operating within complex and often ambiguous environments.  

Mike Reid

Treasurer

Mike, a CPA designated professional, joined Woodview’s Board in 2021. Mike is the Vice President of America’s Sales Distribution Channel at Poly, managing distribution channels within the tech sector for the past 15 years. Mike recently completed his last term on the Halton Children’s Aid Society Board of Directors and has also spent time on the Cedar Springs Community Board as Director and Treasurer. Mike is committed to supporting Woodview and the needs of the children, youth, adults, and families we serve as a member of the Board.

Kim Ann Laush

Director

Kim Ann joined the Board of Directors in 2020. Kim Ann has worked at Mohawk College since 2003 in a variety of capacities, and most recently in the role of Associate Dean, Department of Community Studies. Kim Ann has a BA in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, BEd from York University, and a Master of Education from Nipissing. Prior to working at Mohawk College, Kim Ann worked in children’s mental health, custody for youth, and taught in both the Grand Erie School Board, and the Waterloo Region District School board. Kim Ann is currently a Doctorate candidate at Western University working towards a Doctorate of Leadership in Higher Education. Kim Ann has a passion for teaching and life long learning.

Kyle Aquin

Director

Kyle joined our Board of Directors in 2021. Kyle works as the Director of Technology and Cloud Solutions with AOS group, bringing a variety of technology, communications, and business experience to our Board. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has completed additional leadership training. Kyle is motivated by giving back to his community, inspiring positive change and empowering people both personally and professionally. Kyle volunteers with the Hamilton Lacrosse Association and previously with the Brain Injury Services of Hamilton. 

Numaan Butt

Director

Numaan joined our Board of Directors in 2023.  Numaan Butt is Vice President, Product Control, Finance at TD Bank Group. In this role, Numaan has the opportunity to lead and work with a highly motivated and passionate team that is responsible for financial controls, insights, and analysis supporting TD Securities. Prior to TD, Numaan spent 4 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP where he worked in the firm’s assurance and advisory practice. Numaan is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada (CPA).  Numaan has volunteered at Ascend Canada, a not-for-profit organization that looks to develop and advance Pan-Asian talent, as VP of Finance and Governance.

Kristen Zahn

Director

Kristen joined the board of directors in 2023. She works as a consultant pediatrician in Brantford, Ontario. She works both in her outpatient clinic at Terrace Hill Paediatrics as well as an inpatient setting at Brantford General Hospital. She is the physician lead on the Eat, Sleep, Console Committee for substance exposed newborns and has an interest in childhood trauma, autism and early childhood development. She is passionate about the health and wellness of children of all ages. 

Dahlia Evans

Director

Dahlia proudly joined our Board of Directors in 2023, bringing a unique blend of marketing expertise and a heartfelt commitment to community well-being. Dahlia specializes in designing immersive experiences for global audiences through in-person and virtual events, as well as community experiences that leave a lasting impression. Dahlia’s ability to merge her marketing acumen with a genuine concern for community welfare sets her apart in the field. Her commitment to community resources and mental health advocacy is not only a professional pursuit but a personal mission. Dahlia is currently pursuing studies in Social Service Work to broaden her skill set and contribute meaningfully to societal well-being. Her dedication extends beyond the professional realm, evident in her active involvement as the previous Marketing Chair and club member of Rotary Waterloo. Dahlia is passionate about ensuring that all families and children have access to the supportive resources they need.
