What are Day Treatment Programs?
There are two Day Treatment Programs in the Brantford area. One day treatment program is for students in grades 6–8. The other program is for adolescents aged 13 to 18 years (up until their 18th birthday). Services are provided to both the child/youth and their family.
Each of the day treatment programs are school-based. Woodview partners with the Grand Erie District School Board and the Brant Haldimand Catholic District School Board to provide day treatment programs. The classroom teacher is an employee of the Grand Erie District School Board and delivers the academic program. Woodview provides treatment and counselling alongside the academics.
Is the elementary day program right for your child?
Is a child or youth in your care experiencing social and emotional challenges in a regular school setting?
- Are behavioural difficulties causing problems in the classroom for the child or youth?
- Has the child or youth been suspended from school?
- Are you being pressured by school staff to find help for the child or youth?
- Is your child or youth struggling with attending school on a regular basis?
Did you answer “yes” to one or more of the questions above? If so, Woodview’s day treatment programs may be able to help.
