Youth and families at the heart of Woodview's AGM
Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting and Family Fall Fair!
Youth and families celebrated with us and enjoyed a petting zoo, games, a yummy BBQ, popcorn, cotton candy, dinosaurs, and were able to meet staff and learn more about Woodview. Transportation was made available to families to ensure that anyone who wanted to join us at the Boys and Girls Club could attend!
Special shout-out to the staff who re-imagined our AGM into a family fair to remember! Thank you Christine, Chris, Roslyn, Christa, Nicki, Flora, and Lorraine!

Highlights from our new Executive Director
Woodview’s new Executive Director, Flora Ennis, summarized the feeling of the evening in this heartfelt message to Woodview staff,
“Last night we truly demonstrated that the clients are at the heart of everything we do here at Woodview. I am proud to say we do prioritize and collaborate with our clients in every aspect of our work. As I reflect on the evening this is what warmed my heart;
- seeing the staff and their children and spouses take part in the evening
- the weather was amazing
- the turnout was awesome and apparently over three hundred hot dogs and hamburgers were served!
- the clients from Hamilton, Halton and Brantford attended
- the staff from all three areas attended and I even saw staff who were on mat leave there with their families
- the laughter and smiles from the children with petting zoo
- Mr. Ben’s Music and children sitting and listening
- Dinosaurs walking around, Marco the clown stayed until every child that was in line got their animal balloons
- Bill Dungey of CTSIT (Woodview’s IT) and his family attended and donated an i-Pad
- Community partners and their families attended and shared their joy in the event
- Woodview Board Member, Sherri Lojzer, attended with her own family and shared some words of gratitude
- Staff brought their own families to volunteer
- A fun and impromptu Birthday song erupted!
Together we are making a better community for our clients to live, work and play.
