Jen Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund Awarded
Congratulations to Woodview’s 3rd annual Jen Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund award recipient, Hailey Gosse!
The Jen Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honour the memory of Jen Brown who in May 2020 passed away far too early. Jen leaves behind a legacy of finding a voice for the voiceless, and finding equality for individuals that have struggled throughout their life. Jen started from humbled beginnings but never stopped dreaming of helping people. Jen advocated for others to be heard and accomplish their dreams.
Woodview wanted to ensure we memorialize Jen’s memory of going above and beyond with a scholarship to help students achieve their dreams of higher education. As part of the Woodview way we want to support our communities in developing resiliency, well-being and independence.
Congratulations, Hailey!
On Monday, May 6, the Brantford community gathered at the Brant Mental Health Week Kick off Event to present the 3rd annual Jen Brown Scholarship Award.
The process of choosing an award recipient was a challenging one for our team as there were a number of exceptional submissions. Hailey’s heartfelt submission stood out to our review team through her thoughtful expression of overcoming obstacles, and her commitment to persevere through adversity to achieve her dreams.
Hailey’s incredible determination and drive to overcome challenges truly embody the spirit of the award.
