Job Description

The Office Cleaning & Maintenance position is a physically demanding role and requires the ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 30 lbs), standing, bending, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. The Office Cleaning & Maintenance position will work across 3 Woodview locations within the Brantford area.

We are seeking serious, long-term minded employees to join our agency and be responsible for the cleaning, general maintenance duties and being a part of the Joint Health & Safety Committee.

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The tasks and the time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require:

  • Woodview maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion;
  • Regular cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping down surfaces, door handles, cleaning of washrooms, refilling dispensers, organizing areas, maintaining supplies, etc.;
  • Deep cleaning of the “Snoezelen” room once a week (wipe down/sanitization of all equipment and play items);
  • Being aware of inspections, meeting with contractors when needed on site;
  • Cleaning out the appliances (stove, microwave, fridge) on a regular basis;
  • General maintenance including replacing light bulbs, changing clocks (daylight savings), cleaning out outdoor garbage container, etc.;
  • Keeping storage rooms organized; 
  • Window washing.

This role is responsible for ensuring a clean and organized environment.  The successful candidate will have:

  • A sense of pride, sense of urgency and will be able to work independently with limited supervision and instruction;
  • Must have a good driving record and a reliable vehicle to travel to three different locations;
  • Hours are evenings and weekends.
