Woodview Ontario Autism Program (OAP) is currently seeking a qualified, dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced individual to lead and supervise the centre, community and camp programs in Halton. Knowledge of Fee for Service models is an asset is this role. This position is a full-time (40hrs), contract position. The immediate start date for this position is August 2, 2019. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Supervise and evaluate staff, interview and hire new employees, carry out performance appraisals, direct the training and development of staff, including coaching and supporting growth, learning, participation, accountability and responsibility.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching employees to expand their technical (i.e. ABA knowledge) and soft skill sets (i.e. Emotional Intelligence, Self-Awareness).
  • Work closely with Family Support Worker (FSW).
  • Work closely with the Clinical Supervisors in managing capacity and families in our care.
  • Attend meetings and talk to parents and other service providers to assess the eligibility of children for the program.
  • Navigate services with families
  • Ensure the multi-disciplinary, treatment and consultation needs of clients are addressed.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other Woodview programs and community services to ensure optimal service delivery
  • Oversee the maintenance of client records and reports.
  • Work with Director of Finance to monitor and manage program budget
  • Knowledge of Business processes an asset
  • University level or Masters Degree education in appropriate discipline (Psychology, Child Development, Applied Behaviour Analysis) from a recognized University preferred or the equivalent in experience.
  • An understanding of DFO and DSO service options for funded families in the Halton Region.
  • A solid understanding of the OAP Guidelines.
  • An understanding of the BACB guidelines.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining private fee-for-service programs would be an asset.
  • Minimum three years of experience in an ABA/OAP Program with supervisory experience.
  • Understanding and experience with Mental Health challenges and strategies would be an asset.
