What Do We Do:
Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services offers a broad spectrum of services for children, youth and their families facing mental health challenges. Camp Unity is a specialized summer day camp experience addressing the unique needs of children aged 6-12 with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Camp Unity is designed to:
· Provide children with FASD the opportunity to maintain their academic abilities during the summer months;
· Receive a therapeutic environment to promote growth in social, emotional and behavioural well-being;
· Provide respite and relief to children and their families.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to:
1. Providing a supportive and engaging learning environment that nurtures success for children and youth (ages 6 to 18) diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder or have similar needs
2. Providing daily opportunity for growth and development in social, emotional, educational and behavioural areas
3. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications:
· Must be currently registered in a Child & Youth Worker (CYW), Education Assistant (EA) or Teacher Certificate program
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field (or related)
· Ability to work from a strength-based, collaborative perspective
· Strong skills in assessment, treatment and crisis intervention
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job (written/verbal/implied)
· Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
· Computer skills such as Microsoft and use of client database
· Certification in the following considered an asset: PMAB/NVCI, ASIST, First Aid and CPR
· Current Police Check, including vulnerable screening
· Valid driver’s license and daily use of a reliable vehicle; Class F license an asset
