Specific Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Providing Intensive home, school and community-based treatment and respite intervention for children (ages 0-18). These clients have been identified as having complex needs which may include mental health challenges, dual diagnosis and may also be developmentally delayed. Incumbent will be involved in coordinating and collaborating with community partners and in developing individualized goal-focused treatment plans. Incumbent must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and in providing on call support.
Qualifications:
· Must have Child & Youth Worker diploma or degree/diploma in related field
· Minimum of three years of experience in a related field and experience working with children/youth with complex needs
· Experience working with developmentally delayed children and youth
· Experience working with families and ability to work from a strength-based, collaborative perspective
· Ability to work flexible hours and strong skills in assessment and crisis intervention
· Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team
· Valid driver’s license and daily use of a vehicle, computer skills, current police check
